Recreational Program Policies
REGISTRATION
Registration is based on age and experience.
Register your child according to the age they will be when classes begin.
REGISTRATION POLICIES
Uplifter administers all registration - Can-Am’s online registration platform. Families are required to maintain an active account on Amilia that includes names, phone numbers and email of the parent/guardian and emergency contact. Families are required to maintain/update payment information. Families are required to maintain their Uplifter subscription.
Unsubscribing will result in missed communication.
PREMIUM POLICIES
Fees are due upon registration. Multiple payments options (when available) are due on the 1st day of the month and are withdrawn between the 30th and 1st of each month. (depending on when the 1st day of the month falls)
Payment methods include Visa or Master Card.
Clients are responsible for updating their own payment information by logging in to their account and changing credit card numbers or expiration dates no later than the 25th of the month to process successfully.
Clients receive a courtesy reminder from Uplifter to update their credit card information in most cases when the clients contact information is correct and up-to-date. Clients who do not receive the reminder or fail to take action are not excused from chargeback fees.
If a payment fails a chargeback fee will be invoiced to the account according to the chart:
Insufficient funds, Incorrect bank or credit card information, Payment refused by bank |
Card expiration or cancellation, Invalid credit card type, Lost or stolen card, Unknown error occurred |
$40.00 chargeback fee will be invoiced (there are no exceptions) |
$40.00 chargeback fee will be invoiced when fees go unpaid by the 3rd day of the month. |
For failed transactions, it is a requirement that premiums (including the chargeback fee) be paid within 5 business days or the athlete will not be permitted to participate in training until the outstanding balance is paid in full. Can-Am withholds the right to refuse athlete participation on the gymnastic training equipment whose fees are unpaid.
Can-Am reserves the right to collect a 15% monthly late fee on accounts past due that are not paid within 5 business days.
Can-Am reserves the right to decline monthly installments to any client who has a record of payment failures. Alternative payments may be provided on a case by case basis.

2) Pay 2 Installments (½ at check-out and ½ September 1, 2024)
Please note: If you select the pay 2 installments option, review expiration dates on your credit card to ensure the 2nd payment processes successfully.
REFUNDS
Fees are non-refundable.
Refunds are issued for medical reasons only, and a medical certificate or doctor’s note must be provided. Medical cancellations will receive a pro-rated refund (less a $25 administration fee) or a pro-rated credit can be applied to your account for future use (with no additional administrative fees).
LATE REGISTRATION
Late registration is accepted up to the third class of the session.
There are no discounts for late registrations.
CLASS CANCELLATIONS
Can-Am Gymnastics Club reserves the right to cancel any programs with insufficient registration 3 days before the program start date.
MISSED CLASSES
There are no discounts, refunds, or make-up classes for any of the following reasons, but not limited to:

Illness, quarantine, health order restrictions or removal of restrictions

voluntary absence (ex. vacation)
-
power outage, unsafe weather conditions or poor air quality
-
facility maintenance
-
scheduled breaks (ex. long weekends, stat holidays)
If Can-Am closes under government order, Can-Am will review alternatives such as online training, extend the session, credit or reimburse a portion of the fees.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
FIRST DAY: Arrive 10 minutes before class to check in.
PICK UP
You must be on time to pick up your athlete. (Coaches are scheduled for multiple classes that are back-to-back)
Classes end promptly at the designated time, and athletes are escorted to the lobby for pickup.

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING TO GYMNASTICS

Participants will be most comfortable wearing a t-shirt, tank top, shorts, leggings or a gym suit

Bare feet are best

No jewelry

Hair tied back for good visibility

Bring a filled water bottle labelled with the participant’s name

Medical devices labelled with the participant's name and instructions ex. EpiPen (parent/guardian is responsible for sharing details on specific use with the coach and program director)
PERSONAL PROPERTY
Can-Am Gymnastics Club is NOT responsible for lost or stolen property in or around our premises, including the gym floor, change rooms, viewing lounge, entrance or your vehicle. Can-Am Gymnastics Club and its personnel accept no responsibility for articles left behind.
The lost and found items are disposed of or donated at the end of every session.
VIEWING
Due to the size and capacity of our viewing area, Can-Am will establish a viewing rotation schedule for parents to observe their children's gymnastics sessions.
While following the viewing rotation schedule is encouraged, parents will not be denied the opportunity to view their child.
PRIVACY
Photography and video are discouraged during class for the privacy of others.
CAN-AM COMMUNICATION POLICY
The communication policy serves as a guide for requesting information, asking questions, and sharing ideas with Can-Am employees in a respectful manner. At this stage of communication, our goal is to gain knowledge, insight, and understanding. Following the communication policy ensures that all inquiries and concerns are addressed at the lowest possible level.
Everyone associated with the Can-Am Gymnastics Club is expected to promote respectful communication, goodwill, and harmony among all members, employees, officials, volunteers, visitors, and athletes.
At any time during a conversation, Can-Am employees have the option to pause the discussion for 24 to 48 hours. This allows them to reflect on the information presented or to de-escalate the situation. They may also contact Management before further communication takes place.
RECREATION PROGRAM STEPS
STEP 1 – contact your child’s coach (if the coach is unavailable due to coaching obligations, move to STEP 2).
STEP 2 – if your inquiry or concern is unresolved after contacting your child’s coach, or you were unable to reach your child’s coach, contact the Recreation Director or Manager, and they will assist you.

MANAGEMENT AUTHORITIES
The management staff reserve the right to cancel any class due to any circumstances that are not to the benefit of the registrants, program or club.
The management staff reserve the right to assign the registrant to the group deemed most appropriate for the athlete’s age, level and ability.
The management staff reserve the right to refuse services to registrants whose fees are unpaid.
The management staff reserve the right to refuse services to registrants who are repeatedly absent, frequently late or leaving early without reasonable excuse.
The management staff reserve the right to decline services if the registrant’s temperament, development or skill level prevents him/her from meeting the requirements of the program.
The management staff reserve the right to request any registrant withdraw from the program prior to its termination under any of the following conditions but not limited to:

The conduct of the athlete or his/her parent/guardian(s) is disruptive and unsupportive of the staff or the organization.

The parent repeatedly fails to follow the Can-Am Communication Policy.

The athlete or parent(s) fail to uphold the Can-Am Code of Conduct.

The athlete or parent takes action to discredit the staff or the organization.
Further to management’s request, a registrant may be suspended from programming at any time during the current session, temporarily or permanently, under any of the conditions above in accordance with club policy.
The management staff reserve the right to withhold registration for the upcoming session or season if future participation opportunities/memberships may be declined.
